Dear Readers, The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well in Carson City, Nevada. When we embarked on this project, we were eager to learn, explore, and engage in real-world discovery. What we found exceeded our expectations. Through the stories we uncovered, we realized that our home is a special place—one built on hard work, vision, and an unwavering commitment to progress.
This magazine has major student contributions. The articles are written in collaboration between marketing students and their mentors. Members of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) worked tirelessly to secure advertisements and bring this publication to life. In our classes and through FBLA, we’ve learned about business strategies and the mindset of successful entrepreneurs. But this project allowed us to move beyond theory and witness these principles in action.
Entrepreneurship isn’t just about business; it’s about passion, perseverance, and the courage to take an idea and turn it into something tangible. In this first edition of Entrepreneurs in Action, we introduce you to individuals who are shaping our community in ways big and small. Their creativity, dedication, and talent contribute to our everyday lives, often in ways we don’t immediately see. From small startups to family businesses, from artisans to tech innovators, these stories showcase the heartbeat of Carson City’s economy.
As students, this journey has inspired us. We are extremely grateful for this opportunity to gain real-world experience and grateful to our many supporters. It has shown us that opportunity is not just found in distant cities—it’s right here, in our own backyard. We hope this magazine encourages future students to seek out their own discoveries, to engage with the local business community, and to dream big.
So, welcome to Entrepreneurs in Action. Meet your neighbors, your friends, and your colleagues. Be inspired, and perhaps one day, we’ll be reading your story in a future edition.
With Gratitude,
Carson High School FBLA and Marketing Students
