Corey Jenkins’ journey is more than a story of success, it’s a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of believing in oneself. From an early age, he demonstrated an insatiable curiosity and proved that a relentless drive to learn can unlock extraordinary opportunities. His life serves as an inspiration for young dreamers, showing no obstacle is too great when faced with determination and heart.
Jenkins’ fascination with technology began out of necessity. Unable to afford a computer, he and his brother took on the challenge of building one themselves. Recognizing their ambition, their parents gifted them a book on computer assembly. By age nine, Jenkins had built his first machine, igniting his entrepreneurial spirit. At 13, he co-founded RJ Systems, an IT business providing vital support to his local community.
“Just because you’re tired at mile one doesn’t mean you can’t finish all three — and not just finish, but excel.”
His success wasn’t just technical, it was proof that resourcefulness and persistence can turn challenges into triumphs.
His drive continued into high school where he worked in the school’s IT department while working to expand his business. By graduation, he had secured a management position with a tech company, an achievement that validated his belief in hard work and self-taught expertise. Yet, Jenkins was far from satisfied — his hunger for new challenges led him to the skies.
Despite a promising career in technology, Jenkins was drawn to aviation. The thrill of flight and the intricate mechanics of aircraft fascinated him. He pursued a degree in aviation management while balancing full-time work and a side business as a DJ. His transition from IT to aviation was not without sacrifice, but he embraced the challenge, proving that true passion outweighs fear of the unknown.
In 2021, Jenkins became the airport manager at Carson City Airport. His leadership revitalized the airport, fostering financial sustainability and attracting high-value aircrafts to the region. However, his greatest achievement is not in profits or logistics but in inspiring the next generation to pursue their own ambitions, no matter how unconventional.

Jenkins’ impact extends far beyond the workplace. He understands that success isn’t just about personal achievements, it’s about lifting others up. Whether mentoring young entrepreneurs, engaging in community organizations like the Nevada Jeep Club, or supporting the Sheriff’s Aero Squadron, he is dedicated to fostering an environment where others can thrive. Jenkins’ story resonates deeply with those who feel their dreams are out of reach. He proves barriers of financial hardship, lack of resources, or unconventional career paths can be overcome with creativity and perseverance.
For young dreamers, Jenkins offers a simple but profound lesson: “Everything worth doing is worth doing well.” He reminds us that passion, resilience, and an openness to learning can turn even the most unlikely dreams into reality. His journey stands as a guiding light for the next generation, proving the sky is not the limit—it’s just the beginning.
